- A Pennsylvania school board will be turning over debts from unpaid student lunches to collections, at the end of every school year. The school board loses “a couple of thousand” dollars every year because the schools never turn away kids who can not pay for their lunches.
- From ACA International: Congress continues to move toward further oversight over the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau. Both the House and Senate budget proposals are moving forward with provisions that would make the CFPB part of the regular appropriations process. Currently, the CFPB is funded by the Federal Reserve Board and is not subject to the appropriations process, where budgets have to be approved by Congress.
