- The attorney general for the District of Columbia has filed a lawsuit against what it labeled as a “debt purchasing company” based out of California called CashCall. CashCall, which purchased loans originated by Western Sky Financial, was allegedly charging interest rates 12 times higher than the legal limit.
- A Dallas-area television station has reported an in-depth feature on Tucker, Albin & Associates, a collection agency that has run afoul of regulators in Texas and Minnesota. The TV station tried to talk to the CEO of the agency and approached employees in a smoke break area, where the people, wearing Tucker, Albin polo shirts, gave some interesting answers.
