- Let’s file this under the category of “Really, are you serious?” A Texas woman is suing a debt collector for calling her back the day after she told the agency that she was Lenovo V370 AC Adapter disputing the debt during a separate phone call. I’m sure it’s boilerplate language, but the woman is claiming to suffer from stress, aggravation, emotional distress and mental anguish as a result of the one extra call.
- An appeals court ruling in favor of Van Ru Credit determined that a generic message left for a consumer at his place of business that asked for someone in the payroll department to return the call is not a collection call and is not a violation of the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act.
