How did you get your start in the industry?
Started as a part-time employee, manually dialing consumers and transferring calls to a licensed debt collector. Once my application to become a collector was granted by the California Consumer Affairs office, I was then given a file.
What is your career highlight so far?
Developing and Introducing a Comprehensive Collection Program to the Judicial System in California, that’s now universally used.
Which industry professional do you admire most?
Steve Jobs, as he was able to deliver a product that people didn’t even know they absolutely needed it before they even saw it for the first time.
What is one thing you do better than everyone else?
Make friends, and then do business with my friends.
What do you like most about this industry?
Nothing is mundane. You can always find something different by focusing on a different industry.
What is one thing you wish you could change about this industry?
Eliminate the political corruption associated with state and local government contracts.

Be honest and up-front with your employees, clients, and prospects and then demand the same in return.
