FLORIDA PLAINTIFF RECEIVES $363K IN ROBOCALL VERDICT
- A Florida pastor who received more than 700 robocalls from a student loan servicing company, despite never having taken out a student loan, was awarded $363,500 yesterday by a jury. But the plaintiffs attorney said that the fines for some of those calls should be higher and another trial is scheduled for next month.
OHIO TOWN HIRING COLLECTION AGENCY TO RECOUP UNPAID COURT COSTS
- An Ohio town is hiring a collection agency to help it recoup unpaid court fines and costs. The agency, Capital Recovery Systems, said it will only collect its fees when a full payment is made. The agency is taking 30% of the amount paid.

- More borrowers are expected to be able to make their debt payments and fewer consumers expect their household financial situation to be worse a year from now than it is today, according to data released by the Federal Reserve Bank of New York.
