ACA CALLS ON CFPB TO RECONSIDER PROPOSED PAYDAY LENDING RULE
- ACA International has submitted its comment on the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau’s proposed payday lending rule, and asked the agency to reconsider its proposal in order to avoid “catastrophic” impacts on the small dollar lending market. The proposed is “arbitrary” and “capricious” ACA argued and the “CFPB seemingly decided to ignore or discount information that would detract from its predetermined starting point that small dollar loans are essentially harmful to consumers.”
