WEST VIRGINIA SUPREME COURT OVERTURNS VERDICT ON CALL LIMITS
- The West Virginia Supreme Court of Appeals reversed a lower court decision on Monday, ruling that a collection agency did not violate the West Virginia Consumer Credit and Protection Act by calling an individual 250 times during an eight-month period back in 2012. There is nothing in the state statute that limits how many times a collector can attempt to contact an individual.
