MASSACHUSETTS CONSIDERS HIRING COLLECTION AGENCY TO GO AFTER UNPAID TOLLS
- The state of Massachusetts has had internal discussions about hiring an outside collection agency to go after individuals from other states who have unpaid tolls. The state has not created a Request for Proposal yet, but is considering using a third-party agency to help collect on an undisclosed amount of unpaid tolls.
CONSUMER ADVOCATES TO DESCEND ON WASHINGTON, D.C.
- Consumer advocates are going to Washington, D.C., tomorrow on what is being touted as “Consumer Justice Lobby Day.” Advocates will spend a lot of their time lobbying for stronger consumer protections and broader enforcement authority from the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau.
