LAWYERS SHARE STRATEGIES FOR DEFENDING AGAINST FCRA CLASS-ACTION LAWSUITS
- Companies that are sued for allegedly violating the Fair Credit Reporting Act have a number of strong defense strategies at their disposal, but should take care when deciding which ones to use, according to a trio of lawyers from the law firm of Troutman Sanders, who gave a webinar on the topic earlier this week. Through the first 11 months of 2017, there were 4,046 lawsuits filed against companies in the ARM industry which alleged violations of the FCRA, up from 3,680 during the same period a year earlier, according to data supplied by WebRecon.
CFPB OPENS COMMENT PERIOD ON CID REVIEW PROCESS
