Kelly Meade, a collection manager for Universal Credit Services in Michigan, who spent four years in the Army is vying for the title of Ms. Veteran America.
Meade has reached the semifinals of the competition, according to a published report, and will be competing in the next round this coming June in Arlington, Va. The finals will be held in October in Washington, D.C.
She spent eight years in the Army, according to her LinkedIn profile. She has spent the past 18 years working at Universal Credit Services. She is also a self-employed dog trainer.
Meade began working in the ARM industry after leaving her military career, according to her LinkedIn profile. She started out as a secretary, according to a published report, and has “been a state licensed collection manager for 25 years,” she said.
According to a published report, female veterans are up to three times more likely to be homeless than any other adult population group in the U.S., and 70% of those women veterans are single mothers.
