Tim Haag has been named the new president of State Collection Service in Madison, Wisc. Haag becomes the third generation Haag to lead the collection agency.
State Collection was founded by Haag’s grandfather, Hilding Haag. Tom Haag, Tim’s father, is currently the company’s chairman and chief executive officer.
Tim Haag has been with State Collection Service since 2009. He was most recently vice president of support services. His first day as president will be April 2.
“I am excited to continue serving our employees and clients in a new capacity and I am proud to be the torchbearer of my family’s legacy,” said Haag in a statement. “Becoming President of a company my grandparents started almost seven decades ago is an awesome responsibility and one that I do not take lightly. Maintaining our strong culture of family values, community involvement, and industry leadership while ensuring our clients and their patients always receive the best possible service are at the core of my goals as I begin in this new role.”
Terry Armstrong, the current president of the agency, is retiring, but will remain with the company in an advisory capacity. State Collection employs more than 600 individuals and specializes in collecting healthcare debt.
