PRA Group has officially opened its newest call center, in the Holly Hill Mall and Business Center in Burlington, N.C.
The company has hired about half of the 500 workers it plans on employing at the center, a representative from PRA Group said in a published report.
Individuals from as far away as Kansas have moved to Burlington to get one of the available jobs, PRA Group Chief Executive Kevin Stevenson said.
At an event to celebrate the opening of the new call enter, Stevenson took time to tell people what sets PRA Group apart from its competitors.
“We are a different collection company,” he said. “We don’t charge interest. We don’t charge junk fees.”
The company is using 43,000 square feet of space which used to house a clothing store and a grocery store.
