ConServe has announced it plans to hire 200 additional employees to help manage the company’s contract to collect on unpaid tax bills owed to the Internal Revenue Service.
The hires will be staffed in offices in Erie County, New York, which includes Buffalo, and Henrietta, New York, which is a suburb of Rochester. The announcement was made by Sen. Chuck Schumer [D-N.Y.].
“ConServe has performed exceptionally, and as a result, will bring 200 new, middle-class jobs to Monroe and Erie County. Simply put, this announcement is all about jobs and is great news for Western New York and the Finger Lakes,” said Sen. Schumer in a statement. “I’m proud today to announce the creation of these good-paying jobs at ConServe, and vow to continue working tirelessly in the Senate to bring new employment opportunities to Upstate New York.”
ConServe collected the third-most in unpaid tax debts among the four agencies that received contracts from the IRS to collect on unpaid tax debts owed to the federal government. ConServe collected $19.3 million during the 2018 fiscal year, about $5 million less than CBE, which was the agency that collected the most.
