A ribbon-cutting is scheduled for this morning in Decker Hall at Anderson University, in Anderson, Ind., where Ontario Systems will open a new technology training center.
Called the Talent Incubator, or “The Cube,” the objective is to provide students at the university with “real-life, hands-on software engineering projects,” according to a published report.
Students who participate in the incubator will have the chance to earn paid internships or part- or full-time jobs with the technology company.
“The presence of Ontario Systems on the AU campus adds to the opportunity for our students to have distinctive, compelling, and relevant experiences,” said Anderson University President John Pistole, in the report. “Our students can learn valuable skills as interns with Ontario Systems professionals right on AU’s campus both during the academic year as well as the summer. This partnership enhances their education and builds their resumes for when they graduate.”
For Ontario Systems, the partnership will open a pipeline of prospective employees who have spent time working on projects related to what it does, allowing those individuals to familiarize themselves with Ontario’s technology and the ARM industry, broadly.
Terms of the partnership between the university and Ontario Systems were not disclosed.
