THIRD COMPANY ANNOUNCES IT WAS PART OF AMCA DATA BREACH

  • A third healthcare company has come forward and announced it was part of a data breach at American Medical Collection Agency. This time, Opko Health said that 423,000 individuals had their personal and financial records compromised as a result of unauthorized activity that occurred between August 1, 2018 and March 31, 2019.

LAW PROF RAISES ISSUES WITH PROPOSED LIMITED CONTENT MESSAGE

  • A law professor is raising some concerns and issues with the limited content message that is part of the proposed debt collection rule from the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau, saying that it will be easy to guess that the message is coming from a debt collector if the collector follows the script proposed by the CFPB.
