Recently joining a law firm after spending 15 years working at the same collection agency, Frost is one of the most well-known and well-respected members of the credit and collection industry. How did you get your start in the industry?
I was a collector while in law school.
What is your career highlight so far?
Having an idea that solved a problem for the industry – I came up with the idea for and am the named inventor on the pending-patent for the Manual Clicker Application (MCA). The MCA is a platform that is now commonly used in our industry. It is often referred to as the human initiated call process. Developing that idea, creating a platform, putting the platform to practical use and being the first to litigate and obtain a positive ruling in the case captioned Strauss v. CBE where the court found that the MCA paired with the selected dialing infrastructure was not an ATDS as defined by the TCPA is my career highlight thus far.
When or how are you most productive?
I am most productive in scenarios where we are identifying specific problems which are premised on statutory language and developing solutions to those problems.
Which industry professional do you admire most?
My partner, Robbie Malone. She is kind, energetic, humble, aggressive, capable, honest and fun.
What is one thing you do better than everyone else?
Those that know me well tell me that I view things a little differently that others. This is probably due to my experience in this industry ranging from being a collector to leading sales to developing new technology. Having that wide experience allows me to frame things in a different light and probably come up with solutions that others may never consider.
What do you like most about this industry?
It is always a challenge. If I am not being challenged, I get bored. That is why I fell in love with this industry soon after I was introduced to it.
What is one thing you wish you could change about this industry?
The negative perception.

Looking for other challenging opportunities in another industry.

Watching sports on television or live.
What is the best advice you’ve ever received?
Albert Einstein defined insanity as doing the same thing over and over again and expecting a different result. Great advice.
