Ontario Systems announced today that Ron Fauquher will retire as chief executive and be replaced by Jason Harrington. The announcement was made at the company’s annual PowerUp conference in Coronado, Calif.
Harrington had been president of Ontario Systems since 2017 and has been with the company for 22 years.
“Words cannot express my appreciation and gratitude for Ron,” Harrington said in a statement. “He has led this company to heights some didn’t think possible, and I have learned so much from him as a mentor and friend. I consider it my greatest professional honor and privilege to be the one asked to lead Ontario Systems into the next chapter of growth and success. I know our future is bright because of the team’s ability and the market opportunities we have in front of us. Wil and Ron started a great company 39 years ago, and they have grown and nurtured it the right way with the highest degree of integrity, by servicing clients with excellence, and by putting the team first. I plan to continue to lead by following their example of servant leadership and humility.”
Fauquher co-founded Ontario Systems in 1980 and had been CEO since 2012. During his tenure, the company purchased Columbia Ultimate Business Systems and Justice Systems to expand its presence in the justice markets.
“I am tremendously proud of the outstanding team of associates at Ontario Systems, especially for the way they put customer success first and foremost in everything they do,” said Fauquher in a statement. “I am also deeply confident that under Jason Harrington’s leadership—and with our new principal investor, New Mountain Capital—the Ontario Systems team will continue to help our customers grow and prosper in even more robust ways in the future.”
Last week, Ontario Systems announced that New Mountain Capital had become the company’s majority shareholder, replacing Arlington Capital.
