Plaza Services’ SOC 2 certification was issued after an extensive, independent audit by AARC-360, a nationally certified CPA firm. SOC 2 compliance certification affirms the company’s adherence to organizational structure, workflows, and processes that ensure the security of customer data. With assistance from Daniel Schindler of Pro Forma Inc, an organization providing audit and operational consulting solutions for the financial services industry, Plaza Services completed the SOC 2 audit in May 2020.

What is SOC 2?
Service Organization Control 2, or SOC 2, was developed by the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) as an auditing procedure for organizations that store customer information in the cloud. SOC 2 Type 1 certification reinforces a company’s commitment and adherence to the 5 AICPA Trust Services Criteria principles that assure the security, availability, processing integrity, confidentiality, and privacy of data stored in the cloud.
