- Nearly 50% of healthcare facilities across the country have seen their amount of bad debt and uncompensated care increase during the coronavirus pandemic, according to the results of a survey that were released last week. Nearly just as many facilities have seen an increase in the number of patients who are either self-pay or uninsured, another potential harbinger of problems for providers still trying to manage their operations during this crisis.
PA. BILL WOULD GIVE CONSUMERS OPTION TO HAVE ALL UTILITY PAYMENTS BE CREDIT REPORTED
- A bill has been introduced in the Pennsylvania General Assembly that would require utility companies give consumers the option of opting in to have their payments reported to the three major credit reporting agencies as a means of helping consumers improve their credit scores.

- While there was an uptick in some of the data points tracked by WebRecon in September, the increases — whether comparing the data to August or comparing it to last September — were not that large. The data points that were lower, however, were significantly so.
