ATLANTA, December 30, 2020 — VoApps is proud to announce that it donated its holiday gift budget of more than $10,000 to charities across the country during this holiday season, all on behalf of its valued clients.
This year has been incredibly hard for far too many people in our country and around the world, so those of us that have the means feel compelled to share with others. Instead of gifts, VoApps’ clients were provided with a list of the VoApps team’s most valued charitable organizations, allowing them each to choose the charity of their choice to which a donation would be made in their honor. This year VoApps focused on organizations battling hunger in the United States, helping veterans’ families, and animal welfare. Some clients also opted to put their money toward local organizations doing good in their own communities.
More than $6,000 was donated to Feeding America and Folds of Honor, the two most popular charities chosen by the recipients. Two-thousand dollars was donated to Open Hand Atlanta, where the VoApps team regularly volunteers packing meals, and $1,800 was donated to the Animal Welfare Institute. After several weeks of voting, all donations were made on Tuesday, December 22.
“In a year where our relative comfort and good fortune has never been clearer, we felt that our clients would appreciate the ability to forgo another box of cookies or swag in the office in order to choose how to help those in need,” said Todd Santa Maria, President of VoApps. “We feel both proud and fortunate to be able to give sizable donations to charities across the country that we care about and that will hopefully be able to apply it quickly and directly where it is needed.”
