Metacorp, LLC is helping protect children in our local communities this season by making a holiday donation to Stop Abuse. This nonprofit organization teaches children how to recognize child sexual abuse and feel empowered to speak up. Our family of receivable management professionals is committed to making a difference for children in crisis this year.
Stop Abuse programs empower children to use their intuition to advocate for themselves, protect their bodies, and prevent sexual abuse. A relatable, cute, green marionette named Simon teaches through song and dialogue, traditionally traveling to schools and other venues. In addition to their program, their website provides a valuable resource for victims and advocates to easily access when they may be unable to reach out to someone directly.
In a December report from the Center for Disease Control (CDC), child abuse and neglect have increased during the COVID-19 crisis. The report details the importance of implementing strategies to prevent child abuse and neglect, particularly during public health emergencies. This year’s pandemic has kept children away from some family members, teachers, and school personnel who often assist victims in identifying and reporting abuse.

This holiday season, when so many are struggling and there has been so much conflict in the world, we want to give back where we see an urgent need.
