- An agency is being sued for allegedly withdrawing funds from an account as part of a payment arrangement nine days early.
- Along with accusing the agency of violating the Fair Debt Collection Practice Act, the suit also accuses the defendant of violating Regulation F.

JUDGE DISMISSES FDCPA CASE OVER SETTLEMENT OFFER FOR LACK OF STANDING
- An agency was sued for saying “We are willing to settle your account” because “We” implied the defendant had authority to decide the terms of a settlement, when it was the creditor’s place to do so.
- The plaintiff also said the defendant was misleading when it said it wasn’t obligated to renew the offer, when in fact, it was.
- Regardless of the violation, the plaintiff wasn’t injured, the judge ruled.
