How did you get your start in the industry?
I started as a bank teller, was promoted to the loan department and began calling the past dues and doing repo work. The local agency owner hired me in 1978 and I was a collector for 2 years, then migrated to sales.
What is your career highlight so far?
Rising to the helm of a multi-million dollar company along with election as HFMA Region Regional Executive. As well, election as Chairman of the Board for the TVA Employees Credit Union.
When or how are you most productive?
My mornings between 7:30 and noon are my most productive times. How? Face-to-face time with clients and prospects. Or out on the golf course!

George Buck, so professional and so willing to give back.
What is one thing you do better than everyone else?
Combine work and fun into the same moment.
What do you like most about this industry?
The opportunity to meet amazing leaders around the country in both the AR world and healthcare.
What is one thing you wish you could change about this industry?
I wish we could weed out the bad actors in our space.
If you weren’t in this industry, what would you be doing?
This is a tough question as this is all I have ever known. If given the talent, either a professional golfer or
professional cornhole player. Both appear to be a fantastic way to make a living.
Describe a typical work day
First thing is devotional and newspaper reading with coffee along with chat time with my bride. Jumping
into checking emails/prioritizing commitments for the day. Then, it’s off to the races until quitting time.
What is your guilty pleasure?
Jelly beans and bourbon. Not together, of course.

Stay true to yourself.
