Yale Weinstein, the president of Burton Neil & Associates, a collection law firm in Pennsylvania has had his law license temporarily suspended while he is being investigated for alleged financial improprieties, according to a published report, and the firm’s website is now being directed to a different law firm, which notes that “Burton Neil & Associates is no longer in business.”
The published report also noted that Weinstein is currently under criminal investigation by a Pennsylvania police department for financial improprieties related to his Interest on Lawyers Trust Accounts, which are used to hold client funds. Weinstein’s law license was suspended in July by the Supreme Court of Pennsylvania. The action was taken after Pennsylvania’s Office of Disciplinary Counsel filed a petition seeking an emergency temporary suspension of Weinstein’s law license. The petition was filed in response to alleged misconduct or violations of professional conduct rules by Weinstein, according to the report.
The report indicates that both the Office of Disciplinary Counsel and Weinstein agreed that the suspension of Weinstein’s license was in the best interest of the public, the bar, and the courts, while the investigation is ongoing.
An online search of Burton Neil & Associates yields a link to Abrahamsen Ginden, which notes on its website “You are being redirected from the burt‑law.com domain as Burton Neil & Associates P.C. is no longer in business” and that “AG Commercial Law, LLC is now servicing its clients.”
