The Federal Communications Commission yesterday announced enforcement orders against 20 different telecom companies, threatening to remove them from the Robocall Mitigation Database, which would force carriers to block calls from those companies.
The 20 companies were given two weeks to submit the steps they have taken and provide support for their case to not remove them from the database. The companies are:

- Datacom Specialists
- DomainerSuite
- Humbolt VoIP
- National Cloud Communications
- NewWave Consulting
- Route 66 Broadband
- Tech Bizz Solutions
- Vida Network Technologies
- 2054235 Alberta
- Claude ICT Poland
- Evernex
- Etihad Etisalat (Mobily)
- My Taxi Ride
- Nervill
- Phone GS
- SIA Tet
- Textodog
- USA-Connect.net
- Viettel Business Solutions
In order to be included in the Robocall Mitigation Database, telecom carriers must file certifications attesting to their implementation of the STIR/SHAKEN protocols. If they certify to anything less than full STIR/SHAKEN status, they must detail the steps they are taking to ensure they are not the source of illegal robocalls.
“Compliance with these rules is fundamental to ensuring U.S. communications networks are unfriendly places for scam robocallers,” said Loyal Egan, chief of the FCC”s Enforcement Bureau, in a statement. “Companies must actively engage in this consumer protection. Ignoring these requirements – or, far worse, supporting illegal callers and scam texters – comes with serious consequences.”
The companies that were singled out by the FCC did not submit satisfactory information to the FCC. In some cases, they attached promotional materials and copies of their logos instead of their plans to identify and block illegal robocalls from their networks.
