With over two decades of transformative expertise spanning various sectors including sports, entertainment, and finance, Thomas is known for leading groundbreaking technology initiatives. His distinguished career includes roles such as Vice President of Technology & Advanced Media at USSSA and key positions at MB Financial Bank, Palace Sports & Entertainment, and Olympia Entertainment. An alumnus of Michigan State University and a veteran of the US Army, Thomas is poised to lead Renkim’s digital transformation initiatives.
Nathan Beatty Strengthens Software Engineering Department
Nathan joins Renkim to lead the Software Engineering department, bringing a diverse 25-year career that spans across Information Technology. Nathan, an alumnus of Wayne State, has expertise in server management, software development, information security, disaster recovery planning, and Agile coaching. His leadership style is rooted in fostering cohesive teams with clear responsibilities, drawing inspiration from research-based principles and best practices. He believes that keeping in mind the underlying “why” behind initiatives is pivotal to achieving success for both projects and teams.
Derek Vertin Assumes Role of Product Owner
Derek Vertin joins as the Product Owner, where he will manage Renkim’s multi-channel communications solutions. A Michigan State University graduate, Derek has nearly 20 years of experience across various industries. His most recent role involved managing a platform for digital key delivery to consumer cell phones. Derek will play a key role in defining and prioritizing new feature development as Renkim modernizes its communications platform.
Vince Markowicz Appointed as IT Director
Vince Markowicz is eager to bring his 18 years of IT experience to Renkim as the new IT Director. Vince began his technology career supporting clients in the petroleum and music industries before transitioning to the healthcare sector. Over the past 7 years, he has expanded his government healthcare compliance experience to the retail, warehousing, and Point of Sale industries. Vince believes security is a team effort and is excited to lead the Information Technology team as Renkim continues to harden and secure its information systems.
