The accounts receivable management industry lost a friend and a brother last week with the passing of Eric Foulk. Foulk, who most recently worked at TransUnion, had spent most of his career in the ARM industry, after he left the military. More details about Eric’s passing are available here. AccountsRecovery.net is proud to share these tributes to Eric, to give those who knew him and those who didn’t a chance to grieve and remember him.

Eric was a long time friend and colleague. He and I didn’t ALWAYS see eye to eye and at one time I even booted him from my “Christmas Card List” (inside joke between Eric and I). Even then, we always were able to joke and commiserate and have a laugh and some Cuban food. The thing about Eric is he was a true believer that collaboration lifted ALL boats in the harbor, and he tirelessly worked toward that end. He and I often exchanged old military stories, of which my favorite was how he found a great napping spot…in a wind turbine… Eric, your knowledge, fervor, and most of all friendship will be missed by countless people in this industry and in this world. Roger Weiss, CACi

Eric was one of the few men in my life I’d call my Big Brother. Ever since we started working together in 2016 at Equifax, we have either spoken on the phone or text. We were work buddies, best friends, emotional support and sounding boards. He always knew when I needed to laugh, a shoulder to cry on, and brotherly advice. I will miss his smile, his drive and passion for life, and oddly…his sometimes brash comments he would make when work needed to get done. The love he shared with his wife Paula was inspirational.  He spoke so highly of her and their son Peter. Eric was loved by many.  Everytime I hear a bell, I will think of him.  Godspeed My Brother! Celeste Anderson, Equifax

One of the best humans Ever

Always said that I was the Momma Bear for our industry.

Always Always Always made time to talk, wherever he was.

Never said a bad word about anyone

Loved animals as much as me

Loved his family more than most people would ever admit

Always put his family first

Honorable

Reliable

Funny

Trustworthy

So smart

Amazing friend

Will be missed by our industry

Will be missed by me and Aristotle we both loved Eric so much  Marian Sangalang, The Bureaus

Eric was a great friend and colleague. He would call while walking his dog to catch up and discuss industry insights.  I enjoyed our discussions on living a full life, having a rewarding career, and appreciating our families. He supported my wife’s business and is a pilar of his communities. I enjoyed hearing from him since I am not fond of calling others. I will truly miss him. Dan Medina, Gulf Coast

Eric brought decades of relationships and insights to the TransUnion team. His incredible work ethic, can-do attitude, and strategic thinking were invaluable here at TU, but he will be missed more because he was someone who always put people and relationships first. His disarming smile and warm demeanor turned everyone into a friend. He knew everyone. And joked with everyone. You immediately felt like his confidant. Eric was a fantastic partner in work and, I am sure, in life as well. We honor his warm heart and hold him and his family in our thoughts. Mitchell Young, TransUnion

Erik was an open and inviting person both personally & professionally. He was always looking to create and grow relationships. He will be missed as a friend and a colleague. Jeff Stewart, CBE Companies

I will never forget Eric! I got introduced to Eric by Celeste Anderson over 10 years ago.  He had a heart of gold and was always there for me, personal or business.  He always was there to listen and help anyone.

Even when things got worse health-wise, he always stayed positive and kept focusing on helping his family and friends.  He will be missed by so many but will never be forgotten.   Michael Lamm, Corporate Advisory Solutions

Eric Foulk was a big-hearted person with a gift for many things including connecting people with one another. Eric always knew the right person to speak with whether at TransUnion or in the industry. Will miss terribly our regular 6pm catch-up calls while we were both out walking our dogs. Leslie Bender, Eversheds Sutherland

Eric was one of the more personable personalities in our industry. I first met him when he was with The Work Number, and stayed friends throughout his run at TransUnion. He always had a friendly word or a great story to share. He spoke freely of his medical issues, and made sure the people he cared about were taking care of themselves. He’ll be missed. Jack Gordon, WebRecon

My heart goes out to Eric’s family during this extremely difficult time. He was such a good spirit and will be deeply missed. Kelly Paul, TrueAccord

I say it all the time, many of our industry friends become family over the years. We call on each other for advice, we meet up in cities across the country, and we always celebrate each other’s wins. We laugh and we cry together. Eric was there for all of those things. He constantly supported me in opportunities to grow personally and professionally. He advocated for his friends in any room he was in. His industry contributions have been tremendous. But, he will be remembered most for the love and encouragement he showed his friends. To my “big brother”, I will miss you always.   Amber Russo, Kino Financial

Eric Foulk was the epitome of passion about everything and everyone that he touched in his life. As a dedicated husband and father, he truly loved and cherished the time that he spent with his family. Eric had built a great career with TransUnion, and his passion for helping others in business showed itself in every interaction that he had. With the passing of our dear friend and brother Eric Foulk the world has lost a great husband, father, friend, and enthusiast. Eric, you will be dearly missed.  Matt Maloney, FFAM360
