BK Filings Jump 16% for 12-Month Period Ending June 30
- For the second straight quarter, bankruptcy filings have grown by at least 10%, and this marked eight straight quarterly increases after years of consistent declines. Overall, personal and business bankruptcy filings increased by 16.2% in the 12-month period ending June 30, 2024, compared to the previous year, according to data released by the Administrative Office of the U.S. Courts.
