How did you get your start in the industry?
I entered this industry in an Information Security Officer role. Prior to that, I worked in the federal government performing similar work—designing and implementing security controls aligned with standard frameworks such as NIST, DISA, and PCI for large enterprise environments. This transition occurred just before the COVID-19 pandemic.
After COVID hit, I moved into a consulting role with the organization that would later become Revco Solutions. Following my work helping the newly combined entity achieve PCI certification, I was offered the opportunity to officially join the company and help shape the future of IT for Revco.
What is your career highlight so far?
I would say the current chapter of my career is the highlight so far. I’ve had the opportunity to help guide the organization through multiple mergers and acquisitions while building a secure, scalable IT environment that supports the business and serves our clients. Just as importantly, I get to work alongside an exceptional leadership team that has created a strong, positive culture.
When or how are you most productive?
I am typically most productive in the mornings. I also work well under pressure, and during high-stress or crisis situations I remain calm and focused, prioritizing solutions and clear paths forward.
Which industry professional do you admire most?
There is a professional I’ve worked closely with for the past five years and learned an incredible amount from. He has helped me grow in ways I didn’t even realize I needed, both professionally and personally. He would probably prefer not to be named, but there is no better teammate to have than Steve Gayheart.
What is one thing you do better than everyone else?
I’m my own toughest critic. If I make a mistake, I’ve already identified it and learned from it before it’s ever pointed out. That mindset helps me continuously improve and raise the bar for myself.
What do you like most about this industry?
I value the opportunity to help our clients achieve successful recoveries while also assisting patients in navigating and meeting their financial responsibilities.
What is one thing you wish you could change about this industry?
While this challenge isn’t unique to our industry, the volume of complaints and lawsuits driven by complex compliance and regulatory requirements can be damaging overall. Navigating these demands consumes significant time and resources that could otherwise be focused on improving services and outcomes.
If you weren’t in this industry, what would you be doing?
I would likely be doing similar work in a different industry. I’m passionate about serving organizations and their employees by designing, implementing, and maintaining technology solutions that enable the business to operate efficiently and thrive.I’d likely still be in a role focused on operations, process improvement, or team leadership—somewhere I could build systems and help people work more effectively.
Describe a typical work day.
At a high level, a typical day can look like a familiar cycle of coffee, email, and meetings—though the details change daily. I review project status with my teams, assess IT capacity, monitor spend against budget, and create space for brainstorming solutions. I also meet with business partners to ensure we understand their needs and are delivering effectively, and I make time to connect with people to understand how well we are supporting them.
What is your guilty pleasure?
Board games.
What is the best advice you have ever received?
Nobody cares how much you know until they know how much you care.

Between books but about to pick up “Project Hail Mary” by Andy Weir.
What is one fact you’d like everyone in the industry to know about you?
I have a deep passion for Cybersecurity.
