Rezolv, a Mumbai-based lending technology company that uses artificial intelligence to automate debt collection, has raised $12.5 million in a Series A funding round led by U.S. venture firm Norwest, with participation from Vertex Ventures Southeast Asia and India and existing investor 3one4 Capital.
The round follows a $3.5 million seed investment led by 3one4 Capital in early 2025. Rezolv said it will use the capital to strengthen its AI tools across the lending process, including sales, risk, underwriting and collections, and to expand into markets outside India.
Founded in 2024 by Karan Mehta and Sonali Jindal, former co-founders of the Indian digital-lending firm Kissht, Rezolv sells software to banks and non-banking financial companies to manage debt collection from early reminders through legal recovery. The company said it has signed more than 22 banks and finance companies, including AU Small Finance Bank, ICICI Bank, Poonawalla Fincorp, Bajaj Auto Credit and Five-Star Business Finance.
Rezolv said its platform handles 6.5 million minutes of borrower conversations each month across more than 12 million loan accounts. The company said its Strategy Builder tool has improved bounce and resolution rates by 35%.
Jindal said AI adoption is no longer the central obstacle for lenders because most organizations are already implementing the technology. She said the harder problem is measuring business impact, and that Rezolv aims to quantify outcomes such as recovery rates, cost, productivity and workforce optimization. She said the next phase of AI would be defined by measurable results rather than adoption alone.
Mehta said the funding would support expansion into global markets.
Niren Shah, managing director and head of Norwest India, and Nikhil Kookada, a principal at the firm, said debt collection is among the areas of financial services most suited to AI-led transformation, citing its scale, complexity and largely manual processes. Shah said the firm believes the founders can define a new generation of AI-led financial services infrastructure.
Rezolv competes with companies including Credgenics, Nucleus Software and Mobicule in the AI-powered lending and collections market.
Norwest is a U.S. venture and growth-equity firm that manages more than $15.5 billion and has offices in California, Mumbai and Tel Aviv. Vertex Ventures Southeast Asia and India is a Singapore-based early-stage venture firm. 3one4 Capital is based in Bangalore, India.
