HARRISBURG, Penn. – National Recovery Agency, also known as NRA Group, announced this week that collections industry veteran Gary Herman has been named the company’s director of consumer engagement, a newly created role that will expand communications efforts with NRA Group’s omnichannel experience.
Herman boasts more than 20 years of collections experience, all in senior and management roles in communications, operations, customer engagement, and more. At NRA Group, Herman will focus on the continued evolution of the company’s omnichannel digital messaging efforts.
“What Gary has done throughout his remarkable career is exactly what we’ll be asking him to do, and that’s to reach our customers wherever they are or want to be,” NRA Group CEO Steven C. Kusic said. “Gary has proven he’s skilled in increasing collections success and has been a pioneer in omnichannel systems similar to what we use. We’re excited about everything Gary brings to NRA.”
Kusic said the director of engagement position was created specifically with Herman in mind to leverage his talents and vast experience in digital messaging. The position will heavily focus onanalyzing and enhancing NRA’s current messaging platforms and strategies – including email, SMS text, phone, its payment portal, and more – to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
Herman’s interest in joining NRA intensified when he learned about the abundant resources the company has invested in and are employing daily to perform collections. He said that level of infrastructure improvement is impressive by industry standards, and that NRA is at “the forefront of innovation.”
“It’s clear to me that NRA Group is well-positioned to be a leader in the collections industry not just now, but for decades into the future,” Herman said. “What Steve and his team have built is a place where innovation meets knowledge, experience and technology. I’m looking forward to a long relationship with NRA.”
