- Homeowners’ associations in Arizona are going rogue and foreclosing on homes at a massive rate, according to a published report. In some cases, HOAs are foreclosing on homes where the owners have unpaid balances of $1,200 in HOA fees. HOAs have filed more than 3,000 foreclosures actions in the past two years in Arizona. There are about 9,000 HOAs in Arizona.

- CannaBIZ Collects claims to be the nation’s first and only collection agency aimed at the legal cannabis industry. The agency is focusing on commercial accounts between businesses, according to a press release it issued last night. It is run by Ross Gelfand, whose LinkedIn profile says he received an MBA and a law degree from Emory University in Atlanta.
ARM M&A SPIKES IN FIRST HALF OF 2017
- A summary of the revenue cycle management and ARM M&A deals from the first half of 2017 show a significant uptick in the number of collection agencies that were bought and sold. There was $4.4 billion of ARM deals closed in the first six months of 2017, up from $2.6 billion a year earlier.
