ADVOCACY GROUP STARTS CAMPAIGN TO DEFEND CFPB
- The U.S. PIRG, a consumer advocacy, has started a campaign to “Defend The Consumer Bureau” by drafting a letter to Senators arguing against removing any powers or authority from the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau. The campaign is a response to numerous bills and attacks from members of Congress that have called for the CFPB’s authority to be reined in, and reports from other organizations that claim the agency is abusing its power.
TOWN NEEDS HELP COLLECTING ON UNPAID AMBULANCE DEBTS
