Gregory Friedman Joins Barron & Newburger

AUSTIN, TEXAS, UNITED STATES, October 13, 2020 — Gregory M. Friedman has joined Barron & Newburger as an attorney in the firm’s Austin office. Gregory will work both with the firm’s Consumer Financial Services Law Group, and with its Bankruptcy and Reorganization Practice Group. In both areas, Mr. Friedman will advise businesses on appropriate resolutions to legal and commercial issues.

Mr. Friedman previously has served as the Associate General Counsel for the Texas Banker’s Association, where he provided banks with significant assistance in state and federal banking and compliance issues.

“I am pleased to have Greg join our team. His experience in counseling banks makes him a tremendous addition to our team” explained Stephen Sather, a shareholder and member of the firm’s board of director who practices in the firms Bankruptcy and Reorganization Practice Group. “Barron & Newburger is committed to finding creative solutions to complex legal and financial problems through a combination of negotiation and litigation.”

“Joining Barron & Newburger is a great opportunity,” according to Mr. Friedman. “I am excited to work with a new team. Together, we will be able to expand our practices and serve the evolving needs of our existing and future clients.”

Mr. Friedman is a graduate of Texas Tech University, Rawls College of Business, where he earned a Bachelor of Business Administration. He also obtained his Juris Doctorate from the University of Oklahoma, College of Law, where he also earned a Business and Transactional Law Certificate.
