Blending decades of professional experience in compliance, cybersecurity, and data privacy with the perspective of parenting a teenager, Morgan has written a young adult science-fiction thriller set sixty years in the future. The Memory Project imagines a world divided between those who go “all-in” on technology adoption and those who reject it entirely. The story forces readers to confront what happens to society, autonomy, and humanity when data becomes destiny.
Unlike traditional AI or technology nonfiction, The Memory Project uses narrative storytelling to demystify today’s AI hype and hyperbole. The novel imagines a next generation that is not awed by artificial intelligence, but instead bored, skeptical, and frustrated by technologies their parents once feared or celebrated. Through this lens, the book explores how constant data collection, algorithmic decision-making, and memory manipulation reshape identity, consent, and freedom.

Heath is a 20 year veteran of the ARM industry, and the ideas and story for the book were shaped from conversations with thought leaders in the industry, and many industry leaders contributed to the book’s Kickstarter campaign. Through fiction, The Memory Project invites ARM industry leaders, and the communities and families they serve, to step back from frameworks, regulations, and buzzwords and ask a more fundamental question: What does all of this technology mean for how we live, remember, and remain human?
